The House of Representatives mandated its committees on health care services and health Institutions to ensure relevant agencies take precautionary measures to avert the reoccurrence of Ebola disease in Nigeria.
This followed the adoption of the resolutions of a motion of sponsored by Paschal Chigozie from Anambra State. Leading the debate the lawmaker stressed the urgent need to take precautionary measures to avert the looming reoccurrence of Ebola crisis in the country.
According to him the recent outbreak of the virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo in March this year necessitated this given the proximity of Congo to Nigeria.
Mr chigozie also stressed the need for the measures being taken at the nation’s airports to be extended to the sea-ports and land borders.
The House there after resolved that the Federal ministry of health deploy necessary materials and personnel to all points of entry into the
