Reopening of schools for the final year students a welcome development- Hon. Ododo
Kogi State House of Assembly Chairman House Committee On Education, Science and Technology, Moses Idoko Ododo says the reopening of schools for the final year students to seat for WAEC and NECO examinations as announced by the Federal Government is a welcome development.
He stated this while speaking with journalists after plenary at the Kogi State House of Assembly in Lokoja.
Mr Ododo who is representing Dekina/Biraidu state constituency expressed optimism that safety measures would be put on ground before the reopening of the schools.
The lawmaker said the kogi state government would key into the prescribed safety measures that would be announced by the federal government and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
He maintained that the state would not operate in isolation as it was necessary for the students to resume for the completion of their curriculum which was aborted following the forceful closure of schools due to the coronavirus pandemic.
